Today is my blog’s first anniversary. I can’t believe it’s been a year since I’ve started. It seems like only yesterday( cliché,I know!) when I decided to take the plunge and start a book blog. Thanks to all of you for going on this journey with me and supporting me.
In honour of my blog’s anniversary i’ll be doing the Not a Book Blogger Newbie Tag. It’s only fitting that I did a Book Blogger Newbie tag to start this blog so I’ll do a similar tag to mark the anniversary. I seen Laurie @Lauriesbookshelf do this tag to celebrate their 2nd blog anniversary and I thought I’d do the same. The creator of this tag is Shelbie from Youtube.
How old is your blog?
One year today!
What are your favorite posts to write?
I really like tags because they have questions to prompt you to give an answer, which make them quick to do and I don’t struggle as much to think of what to say.
I also like to write reviews because then we can discuss things the book and I created this blog to be able to discuss thoughts and feelings.
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone wanting to start their own book blog?
I would say to start with wordpress. As you may or may not know,I tried blogger once and i wasn’t very good at it. Granted, I didn’t post much but I didn’t have any interaction whatsoever. As soon as I made my first post on WordPress, I got likes, comments and follows. I think wordpress makes is a lot easier to follow, interact and comment on posts.
Since starting have you run into any unforeseen challenges?
Yes! Posting regularly. I had a difficult time posting regularly because of University and thinking too much on what to post. This ties into the previous question:Post what YOU want! Post what you feel happy to post and don’t compare yourself to other bloggers. I’ve learned now to just post what I can and what I feel happy doing.
What is a favorite book/series you’ve read because of blogging/BookTube?
Throne Of Glass. This was because of Booktube. I can’t think of specific books because of blogging but I do know that blogging has made me want to read The Grisha Trilogy and The Legend trilogy even more.
Overall, what is your favorite aspect about blogging?
Interacting with other bloggers and seeing what they think about books and the differing opinions on them.
What is your favourites post you posted?
I added this question myself to highlight a post that I’m proud of and one that didn’t get as many views as I would have liked.
Want to spread the book blogger love? (Yes? GREAT!) Give at least one newbie a shout out!
Who do you tag?
Anyone who wants to do it and think they’re not a newbie anymore!
Once again, thank you to all you wonderful people for following me!
